Today my husband found a dead animal on a footpath while he was out for a walk. We live in Hampshire. It was a wallaby.

Imagine a news story where you say NO in an ever increasingly loud, shrill voice as you read it -
Yeah this is it:

Writing tip: After you finish, go back & cut all the adverbs. Then all the adjectives. Then all the other words. Eat the paper. Now you're free.

Watched Tom Hanks in A Man Called Otto this afternoon. Another film to be added to my ‘don’t watch without tissues at hand’ list. 😢

A lovely man came round this morning and cleaned my double oven (no, that isn’t a euphemism!)
It’s all clean and shiny and ready for Christmas.

Vegetarian breakfast. The sausages were a bit dry and weird but everything else was yummy.

Found an old lamp during the clear out of Mum’s house. Hadn’t seen it for years and had forgotten it existed. Needed new sails and rewiring and now it’s ready to set sail again.

This is a friend’s debut novel. It will be great. A cheeky wee pre-order would do wonders for release week sales numbers!

Had a great evening out last night to see ‘Internet poet laureate’ Brian Bilston. Some poems are insightful and thought provoking, most are just daft and hilarious. His bits between readings were funny too. After a grim few weeks, I needed a good laugh and he provided it. And I got his new book!
