Proper jounalism, like wot it should be. Highlighting the utter failure of those who call themselves journalists but patently aren't.

He sold out to Murdoch to ensure good press coverage. Wasn't it back then that the phone hacking scandals started? Yeh, that.

The lady 3 doors down has chihuahua cross, rescue with even more issues than the average chihuahua, but outside on the pavement it came right up to me for a sniff and nudged my leg and that was unusual it's owner said. Mind you, it has that killer instinct if you knock on her door to deliver parcel.

I don't see why some asylum claims shouldn't be reviewed...it would need a system of identifying high risk and lower risk cases, all time-consuming and expensive but probably needed. Safe routes/schems depends a lot on co-operation with other countries and yes there's been some success there.

A very simple way round it would be to take on 2 women, give them equal rank with him and force them to come to agreements on how comms should go out.

It is a lot easier to just be like this since I retired...my work meant non-stop on my days off just to keep on top of things and left me little time for hobbies, except my garden.

I have days where I seem to do very little, and days where I cram in loads. I've accepted that's how I am now and don't feel guilty.

As someone who's never been a lifelong "supporter" but nursed old men in hosp, I did have to keep up with news of local teams to chit chat with them but no longer know what's happening. I do support England/GB when in international matches, and have fave snooker players but am not a trad "supporter"

I liken it to being a devout supporter of a football team...you support them come what may, through bad managers, poor results, great wins, good/bad transfers. You are the backbone of the club and will always support them.

I'm far from religious, but he seems like a good bloke, as did his predecessor. He also seems to have activated American bishops/clergy to actually stand up and defend the poor...

"These companies are stealing every scrap of data they can find, throwing compute power at it, draining our aquifers of water and our national grids of electricity and all we have so far is some software that you can’t trust not to make things up." Brilliant article, absolutely brilliant.
