I really loved working on this paper led by Alejandro García.
It evaluates aspects of decent work in Peru's jumbo squid small scale #fishery 🦑. #SSF are key for millions of people's livelihoods, and effective action to address labor concerns in this sector must involve fishers and fish workers.

Mongabay Latam has identified six secret runways in and around Indigenous reserves in the regions of Ucayali, Huánuco and Pasco in the Peruvian Amazon.

One was found inside the Kakataibo reserve and one in its surroundings.

A year on from the outbreak of avian flu on the Bass Rock we are finally able to estimate the impact on this internationally important gannet colony.

The colony count completed this summer indicates a drop of 25-30% since 2014.
