Thanks for writing/highlighting this. I agree with the thinking. It also reminds me of something I wrote about 9 years ago: danielskatzblog.wordpress.com/2016/10/25/c... where I think I was trying to get at some of the same points, though likely not as clearly
A great reminder that these conversations have a long history. Your piece is very much related—touching on cultures within and beyond academia. I like thinking we're building an anti-capitalist enclave. In ours, we emphasize how OS is intended to affect different notions of "scientific cultures"
