Workers in the gig economy face precarious working conditions, low pay, and no protections.

Meanwhile, trillion-dollar tech corporations are profiting off artists, journalists, musicians, writers, and filmmakers – while paying little or nothing.

We need a new vision for the digital economy.

The NDP must be a political home for every worker – white collar, blue collar, or no collar.

That means defending workers’ rights that have been under attack for decades while confronting new threats posed by app-based gig work, AI, and precarious jobs.

@cometadata.bsky.social has been demonstrating it's possible to do big things! Matched over ~400K preprints 1/ ~2 MILLION authors to RORs—now in an openly available dataset. Come learn what we've been up to, what's next, and how to get involved. Next community call next week. Details below.
1.9 million author entries. 2.1 million affiliation entries. 1.75 million matched to ROR IDs.
That's what our fine-tuned open-weight model extracted from 430,000 arXiv preprints. Join us on 21 Jan to discuss the results.

I looked at RTs and views for every tweet* sent by Liberal MPs yesterday

Out of 46 tweets, 21 Liberal MPs racked up a combined 475 retweets

34% had zero RTs. Only 17% got more than 10 RTs

3 tweets accounted for over half of all engagement
