The White House cited eight examples of objectionable spending by USAID to justify dismantling the agency. But Leavitt’s descriptions of the awards were largely inaccurate for five of the eight examples she listed. www.nytimes.com/2025/02/08/u...

Big update! There were 5 separate bills having to do with pediatric cancer in the original CR. All got stripped out. BUT - the provision reauthorizing NIH pediatric cancer research already passed the house earlier this year. So Senate just put it into their bill and it no will get signed!
The key takeaway is that the world’s richest man got what he wanted; stripped our cancer funding for kids, killed reforms to bring down drugs prices and caps on investment in China. Trump on the other hand demanded a debt ceiling raise and got nothing.

Why? Because Elon Musk told them to.

“I can’t believe you’re willing to cut people off because of who they voted for,” said a family member.

Sweetie, I’m cutting you off because of 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 you voted for.

You voted against my daughter, my career, this country, the climate crisis, and for fascism.

Believe it.
