4th deadly US strike on a boat in the Caribbean.

As with the others:
-in area US military operates freely
-arrest low risk
-no legal rationale
-violates international law
-no evidence of who US hit

If really traffickers—very much an if—the move is interdiction. Would get evidence and intelligence.

For 10s of millions of Americans, politics is just "shopping with your vote for people who will play pretend & act as if your preferred conspiracy theory is real."

The fantasy could be "immigrants are taking our jobs" or "random chemical causes all our problems"--the process is the same.

Following the killing of Charlie Kirk, Democratic officials roundly condemned the violence and offered heartfelt condolences to Kirk’s family. But the right acted quite differently and called for war and vengeance. My write-up on the fallout from the assassination, in today’s piece.

BREAKING: BlueSky is blocking access to Mississippi.

This is the No. 1 platform for @mississippifreepress.org.

We ditched X for BlueSky early this year.

And now, at 3 pm on a Friday, poof.

I don't know what we'll do next.

Keep up with us using our newsletter at mfp.ms/subscribe.

Unfortunately, Bluesky is unavailable in Mississippi right now, due to a new state law that requires age verification for all users.

While intended for child safety, we think this law poses broader challenges & creates significant barriers that limit free speech & harm smaller platforms like ours.

So the Trump administration *did* intervene to make sure that an Israeli pedophile fled American law enforcement.

Protecting people who molest children appears to be the only thing this administration really cares about--other than pretending Donald wasn't totally shellacked by Putin in Alaska.

New— Nazis with giant swastika flags marched in downtown Indianapolis on Saturday with two police escorts. They shouted “white power” and said to the woman who took this video (reshared here with her permission) “fuck you, n***** bitch.”

Police did not intervene. I cannot find local news coverage.

I know you’re new to Congress, Mr. Fine, but we don’t call our colleagues terrorists here. It just makes you look idiotic. At a time when MN Democrats have been targeted for assassination by a right-wing extremist, your rhetoric is seriously dangerous. Apologize now.
