This image of Rep. Jimmy Gomez after the House vote on the spending bill perfectly sums up my feelings about my country this 4th of July.

Keep in mind that the cuts to Medicaid don’t go into effect until late 2026 conveniently after the midterm elections. Do not be fooled. Vote these ghouls out. Show up and VOTE in the midterms.

Big fan of democracy but we'll have to admit it's an L of historic proportions to get subverted and destroyed not by some strategic genius but by possibly the dumbest man on earth

It shouldn't have to be said but if you're law enforcement and you have to cover up your face while doing your job, you are not the good guys in this situation.

“Abolish ICE” is the moderate position. Radical is “prosecute every ICE employee under RICO.”

Every book published in the United States is sent to the Library of Congress. Also, if you are under 16 you cannot use the reading room or order books.
Reporter: The president fired the Librarian of Congress. Why?

Leavitt: There were quite concerning things she had done at the Library of Congress in the pursuit of DEI and putting inappropriate books in the library for children.

I just really need everybody to understand that everything that’s happening in and to the global economy now (and all the businesses and people in it) is the entirely predictable result of the intentional decisions of one guy who doesn’t understand how the global economy works.

VP Vance just came to the Senate to cast the tie-breaking vote to keep Trump’s disastrous tariff policies in place.

On a day that our economy contracted, you’d think they would wake up to the fact that their national sales tax is hurting our economy. But they don't seem to care.

And there it is. Senator Cory Booker makes history-- the longest standing filibuster in US history at 24 hours 19 minutes and counting.

Good trouble.

Missouri constituents in Sam Graves’s 6th congressional district have had it with Sam not showing up or listening to concerns.

They have created a “flat Sam” tour complete with a cardboard cutout with all of his “sponsors” listed. He’s traveling from county to county for empty seat townhalls.

I just saw someone write that no one is watching Cory Booker. There are 45,000+ people watching right now on his YouTube channel, 35,000 on the AP YouTube, and 15,000 on MSNBC's YouTube.

What is possibly gained by shitting on what he's doing?

Longest speaking filibuster ever was 24 hours, 18 minutes by Strom Thurmond in opposition to the Civil Rights Act of 1957.

In a few hours, that record will be shattered by Sen. Cory Booker, a Black man, laying out the case for saving democracy from an aspiring despot.
