I'm at home in rural Indiana and a couple just learned that their son, who is in the Air Force can't pick up a package that they sent him. It's a skincare package because Hegseth wants everyone clean shaven. He breaks out when he shaves.

I don't think people realized during the Great Depression or even now how close the US came to fascism.

Something that the Democrats need to incorporate into their grain of being is that the strong protect the vulnerable. The weak see them as prey. Strength is measured by how you elevate those living in vulnerability, not by how much you tear them down.

I have advice for red state Democrats who are working for the party. When I worked in Indiana, I got death threats and I replied with an invitation so I could zero my rifle. Do not let them make you fear for your life. Protect yourselves. Report threats to the police. Take them seriously.
