I'm from a rural red state shithole. The news is domestic violence and meth. It got so bad local nonprofits created a "Domestic Violence Task Force." People who use drugs are arrested and forced into drug courts that don't work.
And people from these places visit DC and this is what they think.

Today I graduated from the RAND School of Public Policy with a master's degree in national security policy. This was one of the most challenging things I have ever done. But it was deeply rewarding and it was amazing to be at RAND as historic events happened on a nearly daily basis.
