Reading online about glacial erratics (glacially deposited rocks) and my brain keeps calling them galactic erratic instead. I'm embracing my inner galactic erratic! Also, I might need 'galactic erratic' on a t-shirt.

Last Halloween, my neighbors put out a knee-high statue of a squatting haunted demon ghoul child. It’s been sitting outside their door since then. Last week, it moved. First to their mailbox, then to their garbage cans, now it’s on the ground by their garage.

Been having trouble switching from one (completed) long-form project to another (brand-new), so am taking a short story break as a sort of 'palate cleanser'. Any other writers do this too?
