Fines might not be the most holistic solution, agree, but in the absence of anything else...

If the rules are known, punishment is a consequence (uncertain, sadly). I think it's worth considering revoking licenses, impounding vehicles, etc. Driving is a privilege and so it can be regulated by controlling access to it.

Most likely meeting his goals will involve working *against* various social good and health goals. Thinking of traffic safety, pollution, car dependency consequences, workers rights, etc

I meant that road violence is hardly "necessary". That's why I'm saying a compromise where we accept certain amount of car violence is not a good deal and people should stop saying that it's acceptable, e.g. "I'm not anti car" means I'm pro violence.

It's worse than that. They basically condition it on him doing more damage. Like pushing unready FSD to market through dubious means, etc.

I assume "forgiving* excludes things like driving on the pavement to drop off a shopping closer to the door when it's raining. 🙂
