I mean he's not wrong...it's seriously unfair to trans athletes that they aren't being allowed to play sports because of bigotry.

I have a colleague who uses AI to generate alt-text and thinks it's the bees knees. And yes, less barriers to writing alt-text= more accessibility is great and all... but I love this as an example of why quick isn't always better. AI will always replicate biases in anything it does.

As someone who spent years shrugging off daily sunscreen pre-transition, I’m very un-okay with how much I relate to this

My 6 year old really wants to go to Disney World and the other day was asking the if we could go sometime. Telling her we are probably not going to that state any time soon and then having to explain why after she asked why...literally broke my heart

Right? It’s hard to have that uncertainty. Someone being rude is never a great experience, but then there's that layer of not knowing whether their motivation is fueled by something more sinister. I find myself stuck on that doubt more and more with all this dehumanizing rhetoric in the air.

Easy path for the next administration to end the culture war over federal ID's for good: remove all sex markers to protect individual privacy and get the government out of the business of determining who belongs to which sex class.

I think there was a missed opportunity to have both a calm response and also highlight the harm this rule causes.

Johnson had said something about upholding dignity...this rule does not treat trans people with dignity; it treats us like 2nd class citizens. And to announce this on TDOR was callous

Hi everyone,

I'm Jayme (she/her). I'm a librarian and a mom (2 kids, 2 cats, and a puppy). I like to bake and read, though I've been spending this trans awareness week recovering from FFS, so my current hobbies are ice packs and sleep.
