Godfather of the Emancipation Proclamation

Keeping Americans out of Canada since 1814. I told you you'd miss John Quincy Adams when he was gone but you just didn’t listen.
Trust your posters. Toledoans already know everyone in Michigan and Ohio looks down on them. If you want outraged responses you need somewhere that believes it lives a more moral life than everyone else but everyone looks down on - Wisconsin or Iowa.

Three Floyd’s is brewed about 2 miles southeast of the chicago city limits

Surely you can understand how some people could see that amount of pickles as excessive.

there are currently at least 50 districts whose result is heavily in doubt and that number is likely to increase. it’s not like you can try to get an injunction against one election office in palm beach or just suppress the vote in one neighborhood in Milwaukee.

And people keep forgetting a 34-33 Dem majority will be seating this year’s senate winners.

And beef supply issues have nothing to do with ‘inflation’ - not even in ‘big corporations colluding to drive up prices’ sense. The ag market is reacting to weather and production cost issues. They should go down soon and that won’t be deflation. It takes time to get new cows online.

Issue polling works just fine. You want to know how many people Are pro-cheese you can do so. Problem is it’s been known for decades that issue preferences are not predictive of votes (voters are symbolic conservatives/ operationally liberal) - but the consultants just pretend “what if it were?”

definitely not operative know when the Trump Administration is lusting for violence. The civil disobedience has drawn so much blood the GOP's Minnesota governor candidate dropped out and left the party.

It’s just stealing. They re just embezzling public funds.

Is it true? Dems have had a majority in the senate the majority of the 21st century- longer than they’ve held the presidency. The secret sauce for winning Indiana has always been being a Republican and there should probably be a little less insecurity in the progressive movement about that.

(I am not making any of those arguments)

Re Hatch Act I actually think it Could be argued that in the logic of this act (not the constitution) in some ways the status of president carries on and would not be surprised to see Trump assert in 2029 that under its logic and the logic of Trump v US his immunities continue.
January 28, 2026 at 7:00 PM
Presidents are not fully bound by the Hatch Act. Not that calling on the government to do (or not do) something violates the Hatch Act.

He’s a federal employee today and so is his staff. He gets to decide what he owes and how he’s going to do it but the statute is absolutely structured to imply he owes a debt to the American people just as they owe him a debt for lifetime service.
January 28, 2026 at 5:20 PM
He doesn’t owe us? He’s soaking up taxpayer dollars in a number of different ways TODAY as we speak. He’s gotta give that up before someone can make the argument he has no obligations to the American people.

Seriously we are going to need to set up a special Article III court in DC with jurisdiction over these offenses.
