The right-wing freakout over Slotkin et al simply restating current law focuses entirely on some poor grunt rather than the generals and high-ranking officers deciding that Trump's orders are illegal. To me those are the folks that need reminding of their oaths.

Our poll, fielded between June 13 and June 30, 2025, shows that service members understand these rules. Of the 818 active-duty troops we surveyed, just 9% stated that they would “obey any order.” Only 9% “didn’t know,” and only 2% had “no comment.” When asked to describe unlawful orders in their own words, about 25% of respondents wrote about their duty to disobey orders that were “obviously wrong,” “obviously criminal” or “obviously unconstitutional.”

A federal judge ORDERS the disclosure of James Comey's grand jury minutes to the defense, citing a "disturbing pattern pattern of profound investigative missteps" and casting doubt on Lindsey Halligan's declaration about the gap in the record.

The Court recognizes that the relief sought by the defense is rarely granted. However, the record points to a disturbing pattern of profound investigative missteps, missteps that led an FBI agent and a prosecutor to potentially undermine the integrity of the grand jury proceeding. Therefore, in this case, “the Court has before it a rare example of a criminal defendant who can actually make a ‘particularized and factually based’ showing that grounds exist to support the proposition that irregularities may have occurred in the grand jury proceedings and may justify the dismissal of one or more counts of the indictment.” See Naegele, 474 F. Supp. 2d at 10 (citations omitted). Accordingly, the defense request for all grand jury materials is granted.

So now that base is confronting a new kind of cognitive dissonance. How can Trump be the great crusader against the perverted elite when he looks like he’s covering up the scandal of the worst pervert of them all? There’s no good answer for them, and none of Trump’s spin is persuasive. Trump may have convinced them not to care about his constant lying, his history of business scams, his shameless self-dealing, or his abuse of grown women. But this is something they can’t stomach, which is why this scandal is only getting worse.

So to sum up so far: Jim Comey said, you violated my Attorney-Client privilege and my Fourth Amendment rights. And it’s likely that when Pam Bondi reviewed that transcript where unlawfully seized materials were presented, she did too. And then Pam Bondi — after her Counselor assured Judge Currie that Halligan is closely supervised — reviewed the grand jury transcripts again. The ones that likely rely on unlawfully seized materials.

Abstract In two simultaneously published articles in Intelligence, Woodley et al. (2025a, b) claimed that the RHR literature is very small, lacks impact and influence, and poses no special risks. The articles critiqued Bird, et al. (2024) which presented evidence of ongoing “racial hereditarian research” (RHR) in Psychology, its use by racial extremists, and the assistance of RHR psychologists to racial extremist groups. Woodley et al. (2025 a, b) ignored the evidence in Bird et al. (2024) and the past and present harm caused by long-discredited claims that African genes are associated with lower intelligence and morality. We correct false statements in Woodley et al. (2025a,b) and refute their claims that the application of rigorous standards would “undermine science” and constitutes “censorship.”
