Word of advice if any Christian Nationalist claims there is no “separation of church and state” in the Constitution let them know they’re right there’s actually something WAY more specific. It’s called the Establishment Clause. Read it up and memorize to heart folks we’ll be needing it. #politicssky
Never before has my social media algorithm been bombarded by posts promoting two particular papal favorites. For the liberals their guy is Cardinal Luis Tagle of the Philippines and for the right wing Cardinal Robert Sarah of Guinea. My guess is that neither will get it. 🧵

Okay as batshit crazy as the news has been the thing I’m trying to get my head around most is why a film like Conclave (2024) has such a dense array of fan art popping up all over the place?

My god they think of everything to obsess about. I guess “woke”means just straight facts.

So from what I gather Trump figured out how to basically have concentration camps outsourced. What happened to having those jobs in the good ole US of A, Donny? #FuckTrump

The GOP will blame anything on DEI at this point…
It’s a free country. You can choose to believe Trump or Elon. You can choose to believe that DEI, Democrats, or a few dry fire hydrants caused these unprecedented fires. Or you can choose to be informed, to acquire actual knowledge & truth. Like here.👇 www.washingtonpost.com/weather/2025...
Why Los Angeles was unprepared for this fire
Several key factors left L.A. exposed to disaster.

The DNC really needs to take more pages from the GOP playbook. Go on the offensive finding the weak points the GOP can’t defend (Christian Nationalism, dismantling popular programs, etc.). On top of it refocus on labor issues and rebuilding their support of unions their top priority.
There is a powerful disinformation and propaganda apparatus (1) for which Trump can do no wrong and (2) which, in all cases of conflict, will instantly advance a narrative, whether true or false or somewhere in between, that it’s the fault of Democrats, liberals, or the woke left.
We’ve Never Been Here Before: The Zero-Accountability Presidency
The only institutions that will try to hold Trump accountable are powerless, while the only ones with the power to punish him will never do it.

Fun fact about men: most of us don’t buy our own wallets. We only get new ones when one of the women in our lives notices our old ones are getting too shabby and they buy us one for a stocking stuffer.

Hate thrives when the majority doesn’t recognize their privilege and the marginalized too easily fooled into turning against each other. Thats why the GOP are now targeting education because they know this lack of awareness keeps them in power.

Absolute cowardice. Proof that legacy media will not be a check on the corruption this administration will bring. Then again with their long “both sides” schtick it makes you wonder if they ever had the courage to begin with.

“I just wanted the cheaper eggs and gas” said by those who voted for him.

All I can say is whatever happens is what happens and you dipshits are what allowed it to happen despite already knowing who he is and what he wants.
THIS is how it’s done, folks.

I think it’s safe to say Christian Nationalism has so perverted the teachings of Christianity so severely it has now made it the opposite of how it started. You can thank a lot of groups such as Family Research Council, Alliance Defending Freedom, Heritage Foundation, Focus on the Family, etc for it
I mean, I'm baffled. I can't be the only one. 🤷‍♂️

A great case of maybe America is no different than any other country with such blatant corruption and that in the end the GOP always gets what they want even if it’s getting away with a coup attempt to install a totalitarian regime.

Ah yes classic Golden Globes. Is Challengers (2024) being labeled a “comedy or musical” better or worse than when they put The Martian (2015) in that same category? I don’t know but so far this category is yet again for another year a hot mess. #filmsky

Sad that it’s come to passing common sense laws to protect the first amendment. Make no mistake the enemy that wishes to bring censorship is the far right and the far right alone.
PRINCETON, N.J. (AP) — New Jersey Democratic Gov. Phil Murphy signed a law Monday to prohibit public and school libraries from banning books in the state and to enshrine protections against civil and criminal charges for librarians who comply with the law.

I’ve heard many Christians say when looking for a church if one is accepting of LGBTQ people they immediately rule it out as a possibility. Privilege and Oppression is so ingrained into their identity that challenging injustices seems like an attack on them personally instead of their behavior.
