For those who love winter, Chicago’s snowfalls have been disappointing in recent years.

Only 16 of the 614 people whose Chicago-area immigration arrests may have violated a 2022 consent decree have criminal histories that present a “high public safety risk.”

Several have already reunited with their families in the Chicago area.

JUST IN: As of 5 p.m., 10 of 13 immigration arrestees who were ordered released by Friday by a federal judge in Chicago were confirmed to be out on bond, attorneys tell me. They were still awaiting word on the other three, who are in custody out of state. www.chicagotribune.com/2025/11/14/o...

Commentary: Losing a child unlocked a pain I never knew existed. Having my child’s legacy be associated with a politically charged and controversial operation instead of the positivity and light she contributed to those within her community is simply unbearable.
