It seems Nintendo is indeed steering away from referring to these as wheelchairs.

I was told the same thing, and not at that particular booth. Was playing something else and staff asked me what else I had tried. I keep forgetting the game’s name (I keep thinking ‘Drag x Drop’) so I said “the one with the wheelchairs is interesting”, and she replied “oh, we call them vehicles”

I've been putting a few hours into Assasin's Creed Shadows the last few days. To say I'm in love is an understatement. The setting, the story, and the combat genuinely engage me in a way no game has since BG3. You best believe I've grabbed the limited edition Lofi Girl x AC Shadows collab vinyl.
