condemnations of political violence are well taken but it does feel as if some
prominent political commentators are of the view that violence isn’t a part of the history of American politics and that is very much not true.

I suspect younger people who don’t remember pre-ACA can’t fathom how bad it was because the thought of it being even worse than it is now is hard to imagine.

What they don’t understand is how hard of a fight it was just to get what we ended up with.
Health care is still bad but before the ACA it was so bad that people who don’t remember it don’t really comprehend it
I cannot listen to people who were born after the millennium talk shit about the Affordable Care Act I really cannot

One of my companies informed me they cancelled a $2m conference in Florida. Why ?

They didn’t feel they could pass on the incremental cost of tariffs. So they are cutting expenses.

That’s a city that lost a ton of tourism revenue.

The cost of tariffs isn’t just the cost of the tariff

Because that's what it is. The American home life has simply naturally been represented in our politics.
It all feels like a family with a genuinely abusive family member choosing to just carry on with the holiday traditions, hoping to create normalcy through sheer will and denial.

I’m sorry but 262 words is not a manifesto. It’s a statement. Maybe a communique. Not a manifesto.

Turns out deflation as an economic "policy" is stupid and impractical.

Who could have possibly predicted this? Economists and policymakers, but not American voters.
