Fellow #writers and #authors, just wanted to share a warning about a scam I just encountered. Someone claiming to be George Aranda from the Big Ideas Book Club (email:bigideasbookclubgeorgearanda-at-gmail-dot-com) is trying to charge authors $325 to "feature" their work. Beware.

Today is the 1-year anniversary of my greatest achievement since I started doing interviews for #CBR. Not only did I get to talk to #MingNaWen, a legend, she graced us with a taste of her impression of the #Yinzer accent. #Pittsburgh (Also shoutout to my glorious long hair I cut off b/c it was HOT.)

I got nothing on the starship on the ground thing though. Just one of those choices a director makes because it looks cool, I reckon. And while my Trek nerd brain agrees that's questionable planning, my movie fan brain can't deny it DOES look cool.

To be clear, this is not a dis on the Kelvin Timeline, and if that's YOUR #StarTrek, I think that's dope, especially if that led you to other shows like #LowerDecks or #StarTrekTOS or any others. This is just a fun head-canon thing for me (and also I find Vulcan's destruction a smidge too sad.)

Even though I loathe the typically racist usage of "woke" as a noun/adjective, I used it in this headline for this express purpose: to be at the top of Google if someone searched for these words. Delighted to see other #StarTrek fans in the results also pushing back against this idiotic complaint.

My god, Reddit is such trash. I had to start posting over there because people were plagiarizing my work. Today, I posted my essay celebrating women in fandom to the #StarWars subreddit. I was permanently banned for "spam." Yet ever post is rife with sexist comments about Rey or Rose. Asinine.

My god, Reddit is such trash. I had to start posting over there because people were plagiarizing my work. Today, I posted my essay celebrating women in fandom to the #StarWars subreddit. I was permanently banned for "spam." Yet ever post is rife with sexist comments about Rey or Rose. Asinine.
