It's genuinely baffling that people are so willing to treat LLM chatbots as authoritative sources. I mean they definitely do something impressive from a computation standpoint, but that thing is definitely not giving the right answer to every question.

More often than not a "discussion" with a MAGA is like talking to that one ex who did nothing but put words in your mouth and refused to hear you.

Fucking useless.

Better to get them out of your life.
The problem is you assume they want to "engage and have reals discussions on real issues." They don't. When confronted with facts, data, science, actual laws, and the like, they resort to spewing lies, disinformation and hate.
Some don't want posts like this on @bsky.app. I want more. Why ?

This is a moderated platform. Which means unbridled hate is removed. And blocked.

Making this is a platform where we can engage and have real discussions on real issues.

However you feel about the contents of this post, the replies reflect a growing sentiment that legacy news media no longer serves the people. People want independent, properly sourced and vetted news that doesn't hide from the truth. Legacy media has grown a reputation for bias and whitewashing.
A while back I asked folks why they’re joining Bluesky and the most common response I saw was, “I just want a good place to get my news” and, yall, no. Bad.

A reminder: the left views ICE raids, mass deportations, and likely detainment camps as dire human rights violations which ought to be resisted.

So many people in America support these actions and so many more are tacitly okay with them happening. The US is deeply racist and has never not been.
