My friend just rescued a cat who had been in a hoarder’s house and then in a shelter’s cage for five months. Came home today.

I haven’t wanted to hug something more in my entire life than I want to hug Bob.

US Senator Amy Klobuchar on Threads talking about Canada being Canada because of the 60 minutes episode.

All jokes aside, first off, I’m sure the 60 mins. episode wasn’t published on purpose. It may very well have been a miscommunication.

Second, US shouldn’t be counting on us to stand up for them

"It is beyond comprehension that this sitting president has sought to rename this great memorial dedicated to President Kennedy. It is beyond wild that he would think adding his name in front of President Kennedy’s name is acceptable. It is not."

My favorite tyrant joke: a man comes every day and peers at the front page of the newspaper without buying it.

The newspaper vendor says, "what are you looking for?"
"An obituary."
"Obituaries aren't on the front page."
"This one will be."

“Let me state the obvious:
Antisemitism is always wrong.
Islamophobia is always wrong.
Intentionally killing civilians is always wrong, whether on a beach in Sydney or a beach in Gaza.
Can we not all agree on all of the above? Is that really so hard” - my take for Zeteo’s First Draft newsletter:
The (Muslim) Hero of Bondi

As a Quaker organization, we abhor all violence because we believe every person has sacred worth.

We are deeply disturbed by the wanton, unrestrained violence we are seeing this administration carry out - both at home and abroad. Thank you, Sen. Murphy, for sounding the alarm.
What we are watching - as U.S. citizens are dragged out of cars and illegal war is waged in the Caribbean - is the corruption of the most sacred power we give the President - the power of violence.

We are no longer a democracy if the regime can use violence without restraint.
