HIV was seen as a homosexual & drug user problem - and Covid is being seen as a vulnerable & elderly problem.
In both cases the narrative has been that as long as you’re not a member of those marginalized groups - the virus isn’t a threat to you. /5

Me too! Thanks for masking. Disease is a weapon of white supremacy, and masking in public spaces is in my opinion one of the best ways to fight back. I hope all antifascists start masking again especially considering the destruction of our already feeble healthcare infrastructure. You’re not alone.
