Sometimes I jest that ACAB includes reddit moderators—like that time I got banned from r/Libertarian because, quote: "Left libertarianism is an oxymoron. There can be no liberty without economic liberty."—but I can see how it swings both ways. It was a mod on another sub that directed me to C4SS.

What if God was one of us, just a gooner on a bus?

An- means without, -archy means cringe. So "anarchy" just means "without cringe".

I had a passing thought of waving the notion that UV radiation is an evolutionary factor in melanin production, as a means of redirecting racism into slightly more productive climate activism... Alas, I think Musk would be the kind of mf who'd just try and blow up the sun to make us all white 🤔

There's this photo on the C4SS store, only missing your latest.

There's an author in my country—Terry Deary—who notoriously took aim against libraries for undercutting creators by "giving their product away for free". Not a popular stance, but perfectly consistent with those who would sooner swallow spiders to catch flies than attack the root of deprivation...
Libraries 'have had their day', says Horrible Histories author
Author of children's bestsellers Terry Deary says they are a drain on taxpayers and authors that no longer makes sense

This book then, (and Gillis' work more broadly) is of a kind that *anyone* would benefit from understanding. Not least the artist, who is nothing but a sophist aside from their relationship to science and radicalism. If you hear the phrase "read a fucking book"... this is it. This is the "book".
Hey, I wrote a book.

Did The Science Wars Take Place?

Covers the history and philosophy of a fight in the 80s & 90s between some postmodernists and scientists, with an eye to anarchist interests and lasting political influences among the far-right.

Hence, I am a radical first and an artist second, and ONLY the latter because I suspect that any sufficiently complex account of cognition and cultural diffusion would prove the present-day necessity of art as a mere rhetorical device.

To be an artist then—and nothing else in support of that!—is antithetical to radical truth-seeking. At best, you may know the "science" of influencing others but be otherwise divorced from the world or lost within it: a shepherd no wiser than sheep.

To make any work of art, is an exercise in vast over-simplification. We are always slicing information away or eliciting some tenuous association, such as between truth and aesthetic beauty, or the relatable qualities of a character and his ascribed thoughts.

For me it was Carl Benjamin. It makes me sick looking back but it does kinda show that convergence is possible. Like, regardless of starting point we can arrive at the same conclusions. I thought Reddit was very good for expanding my world personally but that's a mixed bag too.

Were these all recorded?

It helps to understand that when these people talk about masculinity, they just mean male superiority. They get nice feelies when told they're special on account of being male. Then something challenges that and it makes them sad. So, then they dress it all up in the language of cultural analysis 👍👍

Love Stewart Lee. Got to see him at the Edinburgh Fringe a few years ago :)

In truth, there can be no "free speech" except between equals, engaging under the necessary conditions for mutually-beneficial dialogue. Likewise, there can be no meaningful conception of "political violence" that doesn't include the incitement of state and civilian hostility that Kirk was known for

Charlie Kirk was neither a defender of "free speech" nor an opponent of "political violence" in any ethically relevant sense. Indeed, these concepts are often understood by many on both left and right, in such a way as to ignore that some speech suppresses others and that violence takes many forms.

I preferred the original but I can appreciate the artistic intent

I have transcended beyond the need to hear from my intellectual opponents, as I have acquired the ability to simulate their thoughts entirely within my own mind. Begone Mark Cuban! For you have but a mere fraction of my power.

Amateur. You can get a much higher interest rate if you invest in a swag bag and a bandit mask.
