Although we show this under controlled circumstances, I imagine it also applies in the real world, for example in elections. But more research is needed (and will be there soon!) to test real-world implications. Great project and again thanks to yaelecker.bsky.social for having us on it!

When people pick new leaders, they focus too much on picking leaders who chase after new great projects and ideas, but forget that leadership is also needed to maintain ongoing processes and keep what they have. We use incentivised studies to show that people do so at their own disadvantage!

Fun fact: Neville’s half brother of Austen Chamberlain, who won 1925 Nobel Prize for Munich Agreement, to which Churchill predicted:

The news article writes the targets were military targets. Why is that genocidal? According to the same article, Turkey did the same.
