I am outraged by the unjust arrest of Newark Mayor Ras Baraka earlier this afternoon outside of Delaney Hall in Newark.

I am calling for his immediate release by federal law enforcement.

What excuse with AG Bondi have for not investigating this? 18 USC 793. Last time it was that the info was not classified (really?) and it was not intentional. Now what?
NBC has confirmed what we have been saying for weeks. Hegseth clearly copied classified strike schedules from a secure device to his personal phones. This alone would get a line service member thrown in prison. But when it’s SecDef we are supposed to ignore it.
Info Pete Hegseth shared with wife, brother came from top general's secure messages
Hegseth has denied the information he shared was classified, but it was given to him on a system for sensitive and classified information, sources told NBC News.

No biggie. This man is temporarily in charge of, and Trump wants to put him permanently in charge of, one of the two United States Attorney’s offices that handle the most national-security matters.

I have serious concerns about Pete Hegseth’s background, including his mismanagement of non-profit organizations, accusations of sexual assault and drinking problems, blatant disregard for the contributions of female service members, and support for war crimes and torture.

Is it worth 20 MINS a day to proactively recruit and bring your friends, neighbors, relatives, businesses, anyone who is or could be a user, to @bsky.app?

If Bluesky ends up with more users than the others, you destabilize musk, zuck, trump.

True from large organizations and legacy media.

But we should not ignore the willingness of individuals and independent media to stand up to Trump. It is from that group that the new opposition will be formed.
We're recapitulating the core failure of the Trump era - what I would call the democracy externality. No one wants to pay the cost of opposition. Since 2015 and especially since January 6, people have treated Trump as someone else's problem. And the harms to liberal democracy continue to accumulate.
I did not anticipate how quickly people would move to comply with Trump. Makes it much easier for an aspiring authoritarian when so many potential obstacles are removed preemptively - billionaires bend the knee, Meta changes its policies, Wray resigns, Barr resigns, DOJ drops the cases against Trump

Immigration reform doesn't have to be cruel. Democrats offered a plan earlier this year in Congress, with virtually everything the GOP wanted, but they rejected it at Trump's demand so it could be a campaign issue. Remember the cruelty is a feature, not a bug, for him.
