Public health people have to get themselves organized to fight back, otherwise we're toast.

If we don't, the eugenic madness coming from Trump, RFK Jr., Oz, etc is going to kill lots of people.

Here I share some thoughts about how we can start to organize: www.infectiousdose.com/post/from-ev...

Eugenics was always a scam and a grift... but it's also one that's especially dangerous and violent.

The reason they gave up is because the Democrats’ real constituency is upper middle class travelers worried about delays, not working class SNAP beneficiaries and people most harmed by the loss of health care.

Sanders: That is a totally meaningless gesture. You can get 100 votes here and it won't mean anything because the House is not going to take it up.

Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.
If the Dems blink after all of this, for a deal that all but ensures no ACA subsidies in 2026 anyway, then what was the purpose of letting the shutdown go for 40 days in the first place?

everything i learn about the campaign makes total sense. Ganz involved? perfect. “Sometimes, wisdom is recognizing a good thing and supporting it, rather than saying, ‘Oh, this sucks. Do it my way. That’s the arrogance of our political class, and.. consulting industry. But that’s not what this was.”

At a time when Trump wants to double premiums and throw 15 million off the health care they have, please remember that the U.S. is the only major country on Earth not the guarantee health care to all as a human right.

We must pass Medicare for All.

Utter cowardice. Shame!
Cornell agreed to pay $30m, hand over admissions data with demographic breakdowns, produce annual "campus climate" surveys to check on antisemitism and changes "since October of 2023," and—here's the dumbest part they agreed to—that the govt can open new investigations whenever it wants.

Appeasers.
Cornell has reached an agreement with the federal government to restore our funding:

It's hard to convey my disgust & moral outrage at Trump & Rubio for killing hundreds of thousands

My team at Duke has spent almost a decade studying the pros & cons of health aid, which has undoubtedly saved millions of live but has down sides. We have a policy paper out soon on the topic.

The money is there for #SNAP. Trump is impeding court order to feed millions of people while continuing to pay for mass deportations.

1 in 8 families depend on SNAP. For the average person, by end of month, 95.5% of allowance is gone. These benefits are lifelines.
