Diagnoses have value. They help clients understand "I experience things similar to others." They allow researchers to study groups with shared characteristics. They legitimize the work, letting insurance bill under medical umbrellas to ensure access.

@jvschrag I’ve never read the book, but definitely found the movies better than the stage show. There’s a glorious and magical lushness to Oz that feels hard to capture on a stage.
