It also really stops the newspapers from pretending it's enormous sums of money. If your average Telegraph reader also gets the same benefit, it becomes impossible to pretend that poor people are off buying Bentleys with your tax money.

Cheers! Needed something for festivals that was a bit more summery and with more pockets than my usual Manchester-weather jackets, so I knocked that one together ready for Masters of Rock in the Czech Republic in ~2022 or so. The photo's from 2023 but I've been gradually upgrading it since.

You could literally do Bond's entire career from Royal Navy to retirement, as a coherent continuity, for the first time ever on screen. Why chuck that away because you're desperate to tie into an impossible continuity?
