Well, that was a hugely important result. Our first win against Manchester City since 2019 in the Rafa years. We needed a win. Really needed it.

By all accounts, the BBC is losing £1 million a year for people cancelling the licence fee or evading paying it.

I’ll say this for the issue of scrapping the license fee. It’s a debate that won’t go away. Not that I condone evading it when you should pay it.

In the upcoming War between the Land and the Sea (next month on BBC1) this would appear to be the perfect solution.

England have at least given the Aussies a bigger run chase than the first innings. But this is where I check out. I'm off to Durham Cathedral soon to offer a prayer for a miracle. 😀 #TheAshes

(Another Miracle, really 🏏!)

It's been quite the first day for #TheAshes. Can England take advantage and get some serious runs?

When you wake up in the morning. You make your tea. You remember the Ashes have been going on overnight. You check the score. And when Australia are showing at 5-1 in the first innings when it's 6:35am in the morning our time.. you know it's gone typically well for England. 😀 #TheAshes

What worries me so much aren't these policies by Reform UK, because they are so unserious they won't see the light of day.

It's that more and more people seem to be turning to them.

Labour isn't so much handing the keys to No.10 over to Reform. Moreover, they're dangling them over them like a carrot on a stick saying "Look! This is how cruel we can be. Can we please have your voters back?" 🙏

The fact that Donald Trump said "Quiet Piggy" to a female reporter should shock and anger everyone. All of us. Even his most devoted MAGA followers. The context of her question is irrelevant.

He should face some sort of censor or repercussion for doing that. But he won't.

This Labour government, a Government I voted for and was so happy that was elected, lost me earlier this year. That was on the issue of welfare reform.

They’ve done it again today with an immigration policy that wasn’t formed on the basis of what it can achieve.

This doesn't sound like much of a blessing, to me.

Big reforms on immigration to be announced by Labour today.

Whether or not these reforms see the light of day is anyone's guess.

It could split the party in the same way Welfare reform did. But they will definitely face dissent in the PLP.
