No doubt the same part of Canon Law was used in the Cold War for Catholics behind the Iron Curtain fearing prison if they went to Mass. Beyond sad it's come to this

“Work requirements” throw people off Medicaid. 1) Fast food place offers mom with 2 kids only part time work, but latch key only offers full time slots. Simpler/cheaper for them 2) Work only school hrs? Documentation nightmare in gig economy and people you clean house for don’t document to gov.

Urgent to write the R senators now. The impact of the House budget: cuts $770B for Medicaid and $250B for food aid, but also manages to explode the deficit, increase income inequality, and make the world hotter faster. Terrible for kids.

Still no public words or efforts from OH Senators Husted or Moreno to counter anti-vaccine efforts from HHS or cuts, freezes, or firings at CDC FDA NIH, but signs that plenty of people are calling and writing. I’ll do it again this week.

Dear OH pediatricians/health workers: my Google searches/emails to Senators @berniemoreno and @JonHusted haven’t found one thing they’ve done or said to defend health care or research from the cuts, freezes, or firings. Do y’all want to try to find out? Or email them??

This orders immigration agents to limit where they make arrests. Targeting kids and families ...especially at their schools, hospitals, and places of worship does nothing to fix the broken immigration system

For the first time in my 45 yrs in pediatrics my hospital this weekend had to state a procedure for when ICE comes to haul off a mom or dad in front of their kid with a newly broken arm or 103 fever. Write our friends in Congress #ThisIsOurLane

Hey Ohio. Pediatrician here. For the sake of our kids, consider contacting Gov Mike DeWine today. Ask him to appoint a new senator to critically look at putting RFK Jr. and Dr. Oz in charge of our public health, vaccine, and health insurance systems

Every Cabinet nomination has been worse than the one before.
But RFK Jr in charge of HHS is a step too far.
It is an off-ramp for the US from a civilized, high-tech, healthy nation to a third world petri dish of preventable childhood deaths.
I cannot accept this. I don't understand how anyone can.

Every Cabinet nomination has been worse than the one before.
But RFK Jr in charge of HHS is a step too far.
