The New York Essential plan is being eliminated entirely next year due to the GOP healthcare cuts. People’s lives are at stake.

And that’s why we’re fighting back.

Columbus shouldn’t be a blindfold — he should be a bridge.
Indigenous civilizations built cities, calendars, and cultures long before 1492.

The crash that killed nine year old Nadir Gavarrete two weeks ago in Koreatown was entirely preventable. The city has a plan and has been working to implement it for *14 years*

After 14 years of meetings and plans, the city failed to upgrade a dangerous Koreatown intersection with enhanced crosswalks and other improvements. Now a 9-year-old boy is dead.

I grew up near Townships, like Michigan’s Bloomfield Township. LA had townships, too. Midwestern 6x6 mile townships came from the federal Land Ordinance of 1785. California's were created at the county level, like LA County's La Ballona Township. www.cheviothillshistory.org/home/miscell...

About time! I've driven an EV across country several times. Most places have nothing we're used to at gas stations. No shade, nothing to clean the windows, no trash cans. It's like they forget we're driving cars - plus were stuck there longer!

🔥Rep. Deluzio isn’t buying VA Secretary Doug Collins’ BS.

How do you deliver care while cutting 80,000 staff? You don’t.

This is a blatant push to privatize the VA—costing more, with less oversight, and screwing Veterans out of the specialized care they earned.

Cheaters gonna cheat.
One thing that bike folks in LA have taken seriously in the last month is staying the fuck off the closed trails above Pacific Palisades but there always will be douchebags who act like the rules don't apply to them.

Earnest post, but: a thing I like here is it’s okay to have moments of happiness in public without being broadly scolded, and I believe that sustaining this kind of humanity will be very important as we resist fascism.

We have to sustain each other. Making joy isn’t denial, it’s how we will survive
