It looks like Russia has sunk some vessels/barges by the pier of Novorossiysk so that Ukrainian naval drones would not be able to enter the port.
The catch is that the remains of the Russian Black Sea Fleet have now barricaded themselves inside the port and cannot get out.

I know I should just brush this aside as the having of opinions by a professional opinion-haver, but it is as offensive as it is ignorant to suggest that people in Poland, of all places, are in the grip of a delusion for fearing the very real possibility of Russian invasion.
What are you even talking about! I am saying it is a delusional fantasy to suggest Russia is going to invade European countries like Poland, Germany or indeed the UK, which is the insane drivel currently being promoted in support of a disastrous arms race.

And the thing is, there's little cost to insulting the EU. Elon Musk doesn't go after the Chinese Communist Party because doing so would destroy his business. But Europe has independent courts and checks and balances and it's not a dictatorship so he can send mean tweets with little consequence

What Trump has made me realise is how much the post-Cold War relationship hinged on shared values rather than shared interests. Trump is illustrating how, whether on Ukraine and Gaza, our interests diverge and, absent those values, there's not much holding us together.

America is vast. That fact in itself has shaped& defined its politics and culture. And it is really far away. Sounds trivial but it matters. I have always thought of myself as an Atlanticist. The current transatlantic rift is shocking. But America was never our Appendix. How arrogant to think that.

Punktet i "fredsplanen" der USA skal megle mellom Russland og NATO er avslørende. Vår viktigste allierte stiller seg på sidelinjen, er ikke til å stole på. Savner kriseforståelse. Europa må bygge seg opp til å stå på egne ben. Kommer ikke i mål før 2028, men kan håpe at det valget gir oss mer tid.

Surely the truly progressive solution to AI making up non-existent citations is to get AI to write the cited imaginary works, so they are no longer non-existent
I checked the reference list on this now-retracted article, and almost NONE of the referenced articles actually exist! Total AI slop!
Who were the peer reviewers? Did an editor look at the article?
