Congratulations, I have "met" someone from every Seven Sisters school now. You're the first BMC person I've ever run into. 🤣

That's cheating, it should say 1969 instead.

You ever wake up and feel like "Y'know what, I think I'm okay with remaining ignorant of the world around me just this once?"

It me.

So Wellesley absolutely without any dispute or pedantry has won 3 national titles (I typoed in the prior post). The others are non-controversial claims, but the Barnard claim can be argued.

Smith *did* have several women win *individual* national titles in tennis back in the days before WWII.

Interesting.

Barnard: is weird because of Columbia, but Barnard *itself* claims one women's fencing championship
Bryn Mawr: IBC Badminton 2x
Holyoke: IHSA Riding 3x
Radcliffe: 1 rowing title, pre-NCAA/Harvard merger
Smith: ... welp
Wellesley: NCAA D3 Rowing 2x
Vassar: USAR D2 Rugby x1

Sometimes I feel like people saw "Keep Austin Weird" but didn't understand the assignment

fuckin contrarians
November 12, 2025 at 5:14 PM
None of you have anything on me, fan of a college that has never won a national title in ANY team sport. :(

I'm going to be blunt:

I don't think you understand the point of what you just posted.

That abstract is not a debate on whether SCOTUS *should* have judicial supremacy, but an argument that their supremacy is not impermeable.
November 12, 2025 at 5:08 PM
Yeah, but they can't lock down a unique trademark for that now, so it's completely unacceptable to the Shield.
November 12, 2025 at 4:54 PM
Welp, guess we can go back to marriage only being between two people of different genders and the same skin color, not letting people get attorneys before they're railroaded, and a whole bunch of other shit we take for granted that only exists because "the Supreme Court sez"

Or the Strips.

Or the Burnt Ends. Tony Gonzalez and Travis Kelce can argue over which was the best Burnt End of all time.

Can't come to bed, this is important. A screenshot is WRONG on the internet.

My mom read to me when I was a baby, and she claims I was reading on my own when I was 2 but I have my doubts.

(I definitely was before kindergarten, but 2 seems sus)

all I'm gonna say is that the grouchy old bastards on USENET in the 90s were into ham radio in the 70s.

Not a coincidence: my dad ran his own goddamn USENET service out of the basement. When he died, I had to shutdown and unload over 70 (SEVENTY) pentium desktops.

sigh.
November 11, 2025 at 1:02 AM
My dad, who worked for Southwestern Bell and was a ham radio guy with enough pull to get N0EI as his call sign when the N series became available, had an antenna on the roof connected by a 100-ft cable to a fucking JOYSTICK to "fiddle with the antenna".

(ppl may now understand just HOW I am broken)
