Easily overlooked amongst the teaching collections at MAA, a small figure from Corsica has a history entwined with archaeology, folklore, and cultural identity. In his blog post Jon Fell traces its journey from a 1926 auction to the debates surrounding it today: www.maadigitallab.org/blog/2025/04...

There’s a fucking Twix advert, when I am listening to podcasts, that has made me never ever wish to purchase a Twix in my life again and I will make it my mission to ensure that nobody I know buys that twin sticked chocolate monstrosity in the future.
Has anyone ever done a study on how much adverts proportionally and actively put people off the products being shown (way more than alluring prospective customers to the bloody things on offer)?

I swear all adverts totally repulse me to the thing on offer.

Ever wondered why walking around museums is weirdly tiring? At normal speed our legs act like pendulums, swinging forward from the hip & saving us a huge amount of energy. In "museum shuffle" our muscles must do ALL the work of constant readjustment. So cake in the cafe is scientifically justified 🥳
