An FFXIV wol account that's evolved into more of a general account. WOLQOTDs, rambling about current interests, and more. I'm also an amateur pixel artist, I guess.

Was going through my old gposes and I realized I don't have many for my wolship... Let's fix that, shall we?

completely screwed up the dance. But later that night, the two meet up again and apologize for the awkwardness. They continue the date on their terms and even share their first kiss. (They've had feelings for each other for a while by this point.) So yeah, a very weird date, but it all worked out.

That actually sounds pretty cool, and I kind of want to make a Gundam AU for Jon now.

is more than just a coincidence. And since I can't find anyone else who's noticed the similarity, I figured why not lay it all out and see what people think? If you've got any other connections, or comments about my wild ramblings, let me know. I'd love to hear what you think.

IDK, I knew this thread was going to be lengthy, but I think I still surpassed my own expectations. To be honest, my theory is really just a lot of speculation and circumstantial evidence. But I can't help but feel that the design similarities between FF14's Ultima and FF4 the After Years's Creator

entire species would indeed lead to godlike power. We know it was also capable of creating life and recording memories, which would be in line with the Creator's purpose. After that, it's a simple matter of "Lahabrea let someone use the the Heart at one point to create Ultima, probably Saint Ajora."

favorite FF14 McGuffin, the Heart of Sabik. We know that it is a crystal with immense power. Back before the sundering, Athena sought to harness this power to become a god. Indeed, if the Heart of Sabik is one of the Creator's crystals, then harnessing a power meant to guide the evolution of an

all the crystals in every Final Fantasy game were made by the Creator. But it does leave the potential that in at least at least one of the Creator's crystals ended up in in one of those worlds. And I think that's exactly what happened... So now comes the part where I try to tie it into everyone's

point was for the Creator to test the evolutionary growth of different species and compare the results to their own people, hoping to find an optimal evolutionary path, a way their people could have avoided the fate that befell their world. Now, despite the implications this presents, I don't think

Well, I do have a theory, but it gets a little wild. During the confrontation with the Creator, they tell the party that they created the crystals, and set them on them on multiple worlds to guide the evolution of various species, while also recording data on how said species grow and evolve. The

For one thing, Ultima in FF14 did not have awareness before appearing on Etheirys. It was mankind's fear and reverence for her that "quickened within Ultima a sense of self-awareness." according to Eorzea encyclopedia. This implies Ultima was not a sentient being like the Creator. So what gives?

dragons and Omega also come from other worlds, so then why does only Ultima have a design that so resembles a previously established character from a completely different FF game? One would assume it means that ff14's Ultima is also from the Creator's people, but his doesn't really make sense.

from an advanced civilization that fled their home after it had begun to collapse due to their exploitation of it. It then wandered the stars with others of its kind until it was the only one left... Or was it? FF14's Ultima, is also from another world. Now, aliens are nothing new to FF14. The

So why make Ultima's design reminiscent of the final boss of the obscure ff4 sequel that hardly anyone played? Well that question is where our rabbit hole begins. First of all, the Creator, is being that have came from different world. At the end of the after years, the Creator says that they were

So why the change? This confused me for a long while until I played FF4 the After Years. The final boss in that game is being known as the Creator. And while their final form is not an exact match for Ultima's ff14 design, I see much more similarity to it than any of the previous Ultima designs.

It all starts with FF14's Ivalice alliance raids. Obviously, these are a tribute to the setting of Ivalice seen in FF12, and even more so, FF Tactics. Fans may be surprised to reach the end of these raids and see that Ultima the High Seraph's appearance does not match any of her previous forms.
