I had a wonderful, friendly (and fully booked!) launch for Border Riding with Argonaut books and @ancientrobotgames.bsky.social. This only happened because they both wanted to help out a small local publishing house. No big chain business has (yet) ordered or stocked the books and games I publish.

Cycled along the canals all the way from Edinburgh to Glasgow on Sunday. All in all about 98km! It was a bit of a miserable day, cold and wet with long stretches of cycling into the wind, but it was great see the comings and goings of the canal, from rowers and boats to cormorants and ducks!

I wrote a massive TTRPG setting guide encyclopaedia about the ancient Scotland and the Picts who lived in it. It covers everything scholars currently know about life in the 7th century, from landscapes to kingdoms to faith, magic, settlements, and so much more.

There's a really satisfying moment in game development when you play test your game and end up enjoying yourself so much you can't wait to go back and play again, even with the bugs and dodgy mechanics and all. I've just hit that and it's making me SO EXCITED

Glad I made it to today’s demo, was good seeing so many folk (& good dogs) out against the Supreme Court’s judgement. Was Sassy’s first protest and her mums had dressed her in this homemade outfit/sign!
