that video taught me the basic technique of making a grid out of the uv’s and stuff. from there it was just figuring out how to cheaply generate lots of noise and composite it in a way that met my artistic goals. and many other little details

oh these look super nice!

i’m going for a very hand-illustrated vector graphic type of look, so i’m taking all the typical shader concepts (noise, tiling, etc) and applying posterization and blend modes. just stuff i picked up over the years of doing graphics design / vector art
