Johnson-appointee Robbie Gibb is a very significant right-wing force within the BBC, reporting in the Observer suggests today.

Presumably the Daily Telegraph and GB News will go big on this story?*

Deeply embarrassing: Michael Prescott himself doctored a Trump quote in his anti-BBC report against...doctoring a Trump quote.

*waits until end of time

EXCLUSIVE: Michael Prescott himself doctored Trump quote in his anti-BBC report
A report alleging Panorama broadcast misleading Trump quotes contains misleading quotes itself

Why aren’t the rest of the board asking Gibb how did your stunt generating a complaint when there was no complaint land us with a millions of dollars claim? Samir Shah is too weak to point out this is unacceptable to the BBC board. Gibb should resign for putting that amount of public money at risk

The party’s held the capital for a century, so a loss is *kind of a big thing*.

I wrote this last week on why what ‘worked’ for Denmark’s social democrats is unlikely to work for Labour:

Denmark’s asylum policy isn’t the answer
A harsh, intrusive Danish-style immigration system won’t win right wing votes for Labour and will enrage the party’s traditional supporters. When will this government learn?

What amazes me is… this is obvious. But why don’t people who are *paid* to analyse and understand politics get this?

The local elections in London next year are going to be a bloodbath for Labour. I don't know a single friend or work colleague that voted Labour who will do so in the locals, not one. Everyone is pissed off about brexit, the cost of living crisis & the way they sound like & court Reform voters. yuck

The dog that bit its child on the ankle given Gibb’s little stunt in generating a complaint when there was none could cost the BBC millions.

It also changes behaviour. Some people - usually the people we must need to keep - will be giving up on this country and making plans to get out. Others will be applying for UK nationality to hedge against future changes, and will get the chance to vote against this kind of thing
