During Trump's 1st term, his budgets proposed devastating cuts, e.g. eliminating all fed funding for:
—Long-distance Amtrak
—New transit projects
—CDBG
—HOME
He couldn't kill those programs because Congress appropriated funds. If Supreme Court allows impoundment, Trump could unilaterally kill them.

I’m less harsh on the incumbent DA as I have been in years prior, but I do think he should get a real primary challenger. I’m skeptical that Gibbs is a good fit for this though, but I hope we see a real race this time around www.inquirer.com/politics/cha...

okay so this is obviously a disaster but, unlike Gaetz or Hegseth, this one is pretty clearly just about paying off a favor. there’s a good chance he’ll be tossed under the bus in a year or less.
