Curious about everything under the sun, behind the sun, and inside the sun. Rock turner until I’m dead. I also software quite a bit. I like taking things apart and trying to put them back together.

Ive spent so much time working with tech people doing tech things on tech deadlines. In the past few years my practice has turned to analog tools (print making, zines, drawing) in my own personal protest. 1/3

Good thing the weather is cooperating for the week of our move. Yesterday's flash flood warnings and tornado watches are just the precursors to the possible snow and ice coming the same day our movers arrive. 🎉🎉🎉

As part of the great de-clouding, I have canceled YNAB after using it for close to 13 years and installed Actual Budget on our home server. So far, I'm impressed excited to dig in further.

If an app asks you to share your contacts to “find your friends” and you say yes, you are giving away your friends’ personal contact info which makes you not a friend.

Just had an infuriating and unresolved experience with USPS. They forwarded a package even though I scheduled it for next month and they have made it impossible to talk to a real person to find out where it is

The people now in charge of the Office of Personnel Management apparently don’t know how to scrub PDF metadata, and have exposed the original authors of the guidance they’re publishing. Two, Noah Peters and James Sherk, have links to the Heritage Foundation and Project 2025.

If you bailed on Amazon and want to stop seeing them in your Google search results, add these to your search criteria:

-site:amazon.com -site:a.co -site:amazon.ca

You may have to add some more for the other variations like their uk site.

The Musk-Zuck (Muck??) platforms exodus has begun. Our house hasn’t opened a single app today related to those bozos.

No google searches either!

Canceled Amazon Prime last year along with all other subscription sucking services.

I joined a gym and have been seeing positive benefits.

The gym is called Getting Your Home Ready to Sell

Some of the exercise routines consist of furious scrubbing, wiping, polishing, sanding, mopping, packing and carrying, and so many more.

In the olden days, I “met” a band online over AOL message boards (I forget what they were called) and they invited me to their show and mailed me their album on cassette tape. Their band name was Helms Deep and it was around 1995 or 1996. If anyone knew of them, that’d be kind of neat.
