100% and it's always folks who you can tell have never really been food insecure cuz they all assume if we just bought in bulk or ate more budget friendly we'd be okay or that everyone gets the max available and are all eating steak and lobster lol

Like how does it even make sense to be angry with those who have the least influence and standing, who are the most desperate and hurting and NOT at those who have the power, are in position to create change and CHOOSE to not do so out of sheer cruelty and greed.

Like they have some of you so upset and angry at folks who just like you are doing the best they can and with way less than you have, who just like you are not being paid fairly for their labor and time, struggling to stay housed, etc. You are angry at the wrong folks!

Or that marginalized communities that have been systematically impoverished and still face huge pay rate discrepancies and discrimination in hiring and workplaces due to racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism etc also depend on programs like SNAP, why there is also a huge stigma attached

No one on SNAP is there cuz they don't know how to budget or stretch resources. Poverty is not a personal failing/budgeting issue, it's an intentional act of violence & control, a new skin of indentured servitude even. It's not a coincidence that its the elderly, disabled or kids who need SNAP most

Cuz sure...that meal may be 50 cents or $1 per serving but for all the ingredients needed can be as low as $10 or upwards of $30 at the grocery store an folks don't always have the $ money to afford that. Hence the reason so many folks ALREADY know to stock up on beans and rice.

Not only that but missed the open cages when you left & thought "something" looked different, they took the cover off the bronco 🤣 the maintenance guy drops by with the lock & to ask if I heard anything cuz they could see my shadow walk by the window of my apt as the burglars burgle 😂
