Mega Prayer and Mutual Aid request. My friend Lisa's daughter, Angelique Sanchez, was diagnosed with Lupus as an infant, that she has managed to survive is a miracle. Over the last two months, she has been having severe complications, this is her 5th hospitalization in that time.

When you are the nosy neighbor cuz you can hear everything from your apt and you don't sleep and freak out at every little unusual noise but somehow...SOMEHOW missing the sound of folks breaking into the parking cage that houses your partner's most precious treasure, his bronco.

Yakoke! Thank you, had a $40 ko-fi come through and only -$55.29 to go and one step closer to dropping this butthole of a bank.

When you are up at 3:30 am to argue with your bank for charging you 5 overdraft fees because of their system. On the 1st I had one of two fraudulent charges hit my account that overdrafted me by $73. I was able to get those charges reversed and it showed them pending on my account.

These two were done with neon, blacklight reactive acrylics. Super fun to do! You can get these in my shop and I am heading to the post tomorrow to mail off a previous order, so if you order tonight, it will ship out tomorrow.

THIS! But also if you are going to the food bank for the first time, give them a call, see if they have a website and what they require because with the influx during COVID some do require proof of need.

It’s hard to find the words to pay tribute to someone who always knew how to master them, but I tried. Viet Mai’s poetry carried a heartbeat that connected people wherever he went. He had a way of showing us the power of words to heal, teach, and ignite change across borders and generations.

here's what we still owe for this month & Nov. We've been holding off being evicted because we've been making payments and showing that we're trying but landlords are getting a little impatient with us.

So, I really need to sell some art to keep myself alive and housed, especially since I have a few procedures coming up that will require some down time to recover. I also need to sell a painting ASAP to pay for my webhosting which I forgot about and need cuz it facilitates my work.
October 20, 2025 at 9:25 AM
I haven't been able to be as diligent as I need to be seeling art especially cuz the poo is going to hit the fan. Received notice that there will be no SNAP in Nov and medi-cal is expected to continue through the rest of the year but if the shutdown continues after dec, we're on our own.

It may no longer be Indigenous Peoples' Day but this is when and where your support truly matters. We have several Native communities devastated by flooding, families have literally lost everything.

Super Indigi This One, sharing her birthday with Indigenous Peoples' Day. That's right folks, I have survived 45 trips around the sun. I keep forgetting because I've been so caught up with the IPD of it all 🤣 like I said....real Indigi this one.

And just look at this community building! The joy and care that these Jingle Dress Dancers showed in being able to teach others about our dances and cultures. Everywhere you went that day, people had a real desire to learn and showed incredible respect. It was beautiful!
October 13, 2025 at 8:06 PM
I shared this video through @redpopnews.bsky.social about the Indigenous Peoples' Day celebration at the Getty because it was beautiful to share our cultures and to be appreciated for who we are as Native people beyond the Hollywood tropes and Stereotypes and not as relics of the past.

Origin Story:

On this day, 45 yrs ago, a blue butted monkey took me from my mother's loins as I blew spit bubbles & held me up in victory so the world could bow at my lil infant feet. The world rejoiced & then roared with laughter when the blue butted bastard dropped me on my big ass NDN head.
October 13, 2025 at 7:55 AM
Working in and for NDN Country is hard and devastating in the best and worst ways. You have to be in it for the people, you have to love the people for ALL of who they were, who they are and who they can and dream to be.
