Hey! If you dig SKTCHD/Off Panel and want to support the work that goes into it (especially now that it's my full-time job), maybe consider doing so through one of the ways I linked to in this thread.

I'm loving this new era, but it needs the support of readers/listeners to work, so check it out!
Many are visiting SKTCHD for that interview with @javierrodriguez.bsky.social, and if you enjoy it, consider subscribing to read more and to support the work that I do. It's fully independent (+ Eisner-nom'd) writing about comics that costs as much as one comic a month!

Props to the dude who dropped a grand on action figures today too. You’re the real MVP.

Closely followed by the person who ordered nearly a grands worth of single issues.
I don’t really know what’s going on, but work has never been busier and that’s great and all but, we are technically a man down.

So I checked the numbers to see if it just “felt” busier and nope.

This is the busiest start to a year ever.

The always great @ashcanpress.com joined me this week to talk about that podcasting life, what he's learned from that experience, how his Substack Pro Grant really changed things, Barry Bonds Hall of Fame takes, long titles, We're Taking Everyone Down With Us, and more. It's a fun one. Listen up!
This week on Off Panel, writer @ashcanpress.com joins the podcast to talk about hosting a comics podcast himself in Ideas Don't Bleed, his path the past few years, what kind of swing guy he is, the upcoming We're Taking Everyone Down With Us, and more.
Off Panel #485: Hit and Run with Matthew Rosenberg - SKTCHD

Bruno announced his move today, he says nice things.

Go and read it.

He will be missed.
Time for a bit of news!

I (Bruno) will be leaving Big Bang Comics next week at the end of January.

That will put an end to 12 years of me having to put up with you all!

(And probably more important for most, you won't have to listen to me complain about the comics industry all the time!)

Gaiman was my hero, I based my self worth on getting to work professionally with him, and I had just achieved that after 25 years. I’ve amassed a massive Gaiman collection of rare, over $30k spent over time. All of that stuff is now boxed away in my attic. I’m heartbroken for all his victims.

A personally difficult story for us, but a necessary one.

My statement below, for the record [as an image+alt text, so it all fits on one page]. It's all I can manage at this time.

Deeply disturbing is a good summarisation of this article.
They've paywalled the #NeilGaiman article by Lila Shapiro, so here's an archived version.

Be warned, it's deeply disturbing.

I deleted Twitter a while ago so I guess I'll say it here.

The Vulture article was a harrowing read.

I'm devastated by what I just read.

I'm devastated for his victims.

Just monstrous.

I seem to have missed the last week of comics twitter bs.

Because I was too busy selling fucking comics.

Odd that.

Does anyone else think it's weird when your friends think it's weird when you've been listening to different music then the bands and artists they associate with you?

That just seems narrow minded to me.

Now I'm going back to this Billie Eilish playlist and I'm gonna' enjoy it.

I like how this asks me what's up when I log into it.

Blue Sky is very polite.
