Throughout history, people have protested authoritarian governments with a unifying color to symbolize their peaceful resistance. Our movement is no different. Yellow is a bright, unmistakable reminder that millions of us stand together in the belief that America belongs to its people — not kings.

I visited the apartment building ICE raided on Tuesday today. Story to come, but you can walk right in. Half of the apartments have no doors on them. Children's stuff abandoned in some flats. *Citizen* residents told me they were arrested and held for hours in zipties. This is America

Important story; just not as photogenic as throwing paper towels in Puerto Rico.
After an explosion in Roseland, Louisiana the head of the EPA Lee Zeldin tells Black residents of this town to remove the black sticky residue themselves. The EPA didn't test soil on local properties for contamination but independent study shows 29 heavy chemicals

Trey Reed deserved to grow old, to be with his family, & pursuing his dreams.

Instead, he was found hanging from a tree at Delta State University — a predominantly white institution in MS.

We'll never have true justice for Trey—that would mean he would still be with us—but there must be answers.

One day after the Supreme Court lifted the ban on racial profiling, federal agents swarmed a car in Van Nuys.

Four masked agents with guns drawn yanked people out, slammed them to the ground, and pointed a weapon at a pregnant woman.

There is no justification for this. None.

If you hear about a Mexican Independence Day celebration in your area, go.

There is strength in numbers and — especially if you’re white — you can protect your community just by being there and not flinching if ICE shows up.

These goons are cowards. Don’t be one.

Mayor Wu learned municipal governance from Tom Menino, but she’s also got a Harvard Law degree. So she can tell people to go fuck themselves with case citations. (And of course the obligatory references to 250+ years of Boston’s superior historical record.)
Last week, Boston received a letter from AG Bondi threatening to prosecute officials and withhold funds unless we cooperate with carrying out mass deportations.

The US Attorney General asked for a response by today, so here it is: stop attacking our cities to hide your administration’s failures.

An issue I have with stories like this is that they treat these crashes as one-off incidents and don't look at the contributing factors. This was in a painted bike lane. Why not talk to advocates about that? Why not pull historical crash data for that area?

This is not the complete story.
