Today is Holocaust Memorial Day. We remember the six million Jewish people murdered in the Holocaust, an atrocity born of hatred and dehumanisation. We recommit to standing against antisemitism and all forms of hatred.

Victims of domestic abuse deserve real protection, not promises.

The Government must ensure it properly funds probation services and electronic tagging to keep survivors safe after perpetrators are released.

Pleased to successfully vote against Nigel Farage’s Bill to pull Britain out of the European Convention on Human Rights.

The ECHR reflects British values of fairness and decency - not something to be discarded for political headlines.
Liberal Democrat MPs just defeated Nigel Farage’s Bill in Parliament to tear up people’s rights and withdraw from the ECHR.

Farage wants to do away with the Britain Churchill built and turn it into Trump's America. We won't let him.

White Ribbon Day matters. Violence against women and girls will only end when men take responsibility for changing the culture that allows it. I’m proud to speak out on #WhiteRibbonDay and every day to help build a safer world for our children.

Today is World AIDS Day. We are close to zero new HIV transmissions by 2030, but not close enough. New infections are rising in heterosexual and ethnic minority communities and PrEP access is still unequal. Zero by 2030 means fair access to testing, treatment and prevention for everyone.

Deeply concerned by reports from Uganda about the conduct of elections and treatment of opposition leaders and election officials. UK Government must work w/ election observers, regional organisations and other partners to ensure a fair outcome of votes.
