I mean, this is coming out of Metro's Extraordinary Innovation office. Metro isn't funding nor operating it.

It's perfectly fine for what it is and doesn't preclude actual public agency led transit solutions to Dodger stadium traffic.

fwiw towards the north side, these were all built on top of the I-93 tunnel with the most recent being finished in like 2016-2017ish? So there is definitely some of it happening.

I don't take as dim a view of the green way as others. Especially, the northern section.

Corresponds to the monsoon season, so I'm guessing that suppresses what would otherwise be higher temps?

And that's an old picture of the Boston/Cambridge skyline! There's been quite a bit of infill development and use intensification in the last 10/15 year.

Google rolled it out on android and I'm fairly pleased with it.

I was genuinely impressed with how busy Link was during weekday service. Could have just been there at the right time, but it felt much busier than an equivalent Metro light rail ride in LA.

2/2 You can see the same thing looking at the South Korean Consulate General's residence (a couple blocks over). Compare that to a property in the same neighborhood (2nd screenshot) which is being taxed on a 1996 base year - still way under-taxed!

1/2 Not to be pedantic (I want to see prop 13 reversed, badly), however, this particular house is the Indonesian Consulate General's residence and is federally exempt from property tax. If you look at their actual bill you'll notice they're only charged direct assessments.

On the docket for this month (two I've to finish). Goal is a minimum of one a month, a mix of fiction and non-fiction.

You see similar design choices being made in other parts of the highway system - mostly famously where the 101 balloons outward in anticipation of a never to arrive interchange with the Beverly Hills freeway.

Could this parcel even be considered valid given LAX's concourse 0 project and associated landslide access road reconfigurations that are taking up a slice of the parcel? Even though it's been shelved for now, there's a good chance southwest will take up the project in the not so distant future

But healthcare costs have also moderated compared to pre-ACA projections (all while real incomes have risen across the board). So what exactly is the point you’re trying to make?
