How did he come to play on that? Was Kate a fan?

Would have fitted nicely on The Philosopher’s Stone.

Don’t worry, lack of preparation hasn’t hindered the cricket team.

Highlight of the whole thing for me.

Silver & Gold is worth buying just for Razor Love, one of his most beautiful songs. I first heard it on a live cassette in the mid ‘80s and didn’t think it was ever going to have an official release, so was very happy when it finally did come out.

I’ve bought a few of those live Pat Metheny albums. They’re all excellent. And compared to some unofficial CDs they have high production values. The booklets all have interviews and photos appropriate to the year of the gig, which makes a change for such releases. I must seek out that NY one.

Morning, Andy.

I don’t really understand why United casually accept that Casemiro can only play an hour. He’s only 33 and we’ve been putting up with this since he was about 31, which is not old. He should be fitter.

I went to a talk by photographer Martin Parr a few years ago. He said that if you want future generations to see your photographs then print them out. Do not have them solely as files on a CD-R, USB stick, hard drive etc.

I’ve heard precisely one Styx album, Paradise Theatre, which is terrific. Don’t know why I’ve never investigated further.

And as I was saying the other day, it’s effing impossible to get rid of!

You’re welcome!

IIRC when that was released it got a bit of a hammering, but I rather enjoyed it.

It’s very frustrating to look at the Concerts part of the ECM website and see how few gigs there are in the UK compared to mainland Europe. Was it always like this, or is it something else to thank good old Brexit for?

Wonderful albums. I may do likewise!

Having read this terrific/appalling book last year I can’t say I’m surprised.

I bet his real top five are ELP, Yes, Spandau Ballet, Michael Buble and the Spice Girls but he’s scared you’ll stop his pocket money.
