Just A Tinker
@john-gardi.bsky.social
I've always been a tinker.
I started by taking stuff apart.
Then I learned how to put stuff back together, then how to fix it.
It's a way of life for me really.

If a government's primary job isn't looking after the well being of its citizens, what good is it? 🤷
Tackling wealth disparity that capitalist economies 𝘢𝘭𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴 cyclically gravitate towards is a game of wack-a-mole.
If a government tries to rein the rich in, they just take their wealth elsewhere.

I'd say giving permission to do war crimes is as illegal as a war crime itself.
'Just following orders' didn't save those who were convicted of war crimes after WW II.

U-boat crewmembers who fired on lifeboats after an attack were executed after the war.
Hope that message gets out to those sailors and drone pilots, it's right there in black and white! 🤷
Senator Kelly is correct.

Plus a Public Service Announcement:

KEY section of Department of Defense's Law of War Manual is 18.3.2.1.

The VERY rule on the "requirement" to refuse illegal orders gives as its paradigmatic example of what is "clearly illegal:
"orders to fire upon the shipwrecked."

I hope that segment of MAGA splinters off so folks can see just how small and easy to deal with that faction really is.

But if Quebecers had a choice today they'd be quite happy to stay in Canada... for now.
Separating now would put them in a 𝘮𝘶𝘤𝘩 weaker position with America than they are under the umbrella of the federal government.
We must, indeed, all hang together or, most assuredly, we shall all hang separately
November 30, 2025 at 7:18 PM
Whatever you hear about a separatist movement in the Province of Alberta is just the loud voices of a very few.
There's been a separatist movement in Quebec for decades including violent insurgency (google 'October Crisis') & 2 referendums to separate from Canada.
They even have seats in Parliament.

I was thinking, all this nail trimmer needs to be perfect (and I 𝘥𝘰𝘯'𝘵 use that term often) would be if it had a file.
𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘯 I looked on the handle... 🤦
Tinker's tip: Practice make 𝘣𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳, perfection is for fools! 🙇

Liberté pour le Canada! 🟥🍁🟥
November 30, 2025 at 5:40 PM
That's another thing, good Canadian citizens have taken back our 🟥🍁🟥 flag from the trucker convoy A🕳️s who took over downtown Ottawa a few years ago.
I infiltrated them early on and passed what I could directly to the authorities.😁
No regrets and good riddance!
Take back your American flag from MAGA!

Actually, Canadians are thankful to the orange demagogue for giving us national unity like we haven't seen for decades.
Thus the #ElobowsUp hashtag.

Quite often ClA has been involved, they don't fly the drones but they do the deed.
To be sure, that amount of support certainly makes the military complicate.
November 30, 2025 at 5:26 AM
If these were drone strikes, it may not have been the military pulling the trigger at all but another branch.

Elections 'retune' Congress and the judiciary's long terms create legal stability.
But for the executive branch it's like: Let's change 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 single part every 4 or 8 years and see if it works!🤷
Plugging in a bad part that immediately plugs in 𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 bad parts in Congress and judiciary can't end well.
November 30, 2025 at 4:37 AM
NASA's idea of triple redundancy is to have at least 2 backups 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘢𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨.
American democracy's 3 branches may be equal in the Constitution but they are 𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 different entities.
It's no surprise the executive branch is the weakest of them.
Congress and the judiciary have redundancy built in.👇

It's beginning to look like the presidency is a single point failure mode for America.
All it took was one bad part being installed to wreck the whole machine.
Just a retired systems troubleshooter's POV. 💁

Sad that it took 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 to move the goalposts!

I feel a Mutiny on the Bounty moment coming soon.

Of course there's a media bias, they're a bunch of A🕳️s who deserve it. 💁
