Another #astrophotography image from the archives, and the source of my banner page. This is the Iris Nebula, NGC 7023/LBN 487. Its a reflection nebula, the beautiful blue color coming from dust-scattered light from the bright blue star at center. Lots of occluding dust and gas around as well. 📷🔭
